STANDING COMMITTEES

ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW

This Committee reviews all changes, improvements, and alterations requested for properties within Sun City Vistoso.

FINANCE-BUDGET

This Committee makes recommendations concerning the Association's financial policy, including ways and means for obtaining funds necessary to meet the authorized budget for carrying out the work of the Association. The Committee reviews the proposed annual budget prepared by the General Manager and makes recommendations concerning the adoption of the budget.

GOLF ADVISORY

This Committee reviews aspects of golf and makes recommendations thereon to the Board of Directors and General Manager.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS

This Committee is concerned with government and politically oriented activities, including legislation, taxes, meetings with candidates, voter registration, health and safety, and utilities, and the like.

PROPERTIES

This Committee conducts a complete inspection of all Association physical properties, including buildings, equipment and grounds every six (6) months or less and makes recommendations regarding preservation, maintenance or replacement and improvements.

OTHER COMMITTEES

COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE

This Committee operates a loan room for medical equipment, materials for visiting small children and other items such as roll-away beds and cots. These items are available free of charge on a temporary basis to Sun City residents.

CONSUMER REFERRAL

Sun City Vistoso Community Association's Consumer Referral Committee is a group of volunteers who administer and maintain a list of vendors of services needed by the community to improve or repair their property.

ELECTIONS

This Committee supervises every election and vote on any Issue.

GIFT SHOP

This Committee oversees the daily operation of the Gift Shop.

CONSERVATION & ENERGY

Assists in the education of homeowners and staff in energy, water and other conservation related subjects. Meets monthly and as needed.

LANDSCAPE

Researches and recommends appropriate vegetation and maintenance of common lands. Meets monthly.

MARKETING

This Committee is concerned with promoting the image of Sun City Vistoso to draw buyers to our community, increase our presence within Tucson and target market areas of the United States.

NOMINATING

This Committee makes nominations of candidates for vacancies on the Board of Directors to be elected and filled at the annual election of Directors.

NEIGHBORHOOD PRIDE

The committee promotes homeowner compliance with the governing documents to maintain property and aesthetic values.

POSSE

The Committee provides a neighborhood watch bar none. They assist with parking in large events.

LONG RANGE PLANNING

Name Change Committee

Make a recommendation to the Board for the name of our community.
Consider the benefits and disadvantages of name “Sun City” and “Sun City Vistoso.” Ascertain whether use of “a Del Webb Community” is possible. Determine legal issues and options involved in a name change. Estimate costs involved in a name change. If recommending a name change, also recommend an implementation plan.

SCV Real Estate Committee

MISSION: Study, in detail, and recommend the feasibility of establishing a SCV Real Estate Company and important keys for
its success in SCV.

AQUATIC & FITNESS CENTER

The mission of this new Ad Hoc Committee is: Recommend a design and timing plan for expansion/renovation of the Aquatic & Fitness Center.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

The objectives of this new ongoing Strategic Planning Committee are
1. Develop a Process Map and keep it updated. Be owners and keepers of this tool. 2. Take initiative to communicate with the Board to help them use the Map and follow it. 3. Orient new Board members to the SP Process and the Process Map and its importance as a tool.
