Chuck Dugan is the Project Astro Coordinator for all of Arizona.  He is from the National Optical Astronomy Observatory at Kitt Peak.  Project Astro gives elementary and junior high students that take part, a chance to study and participate in the field of astronomy. Contributions from AZ taxpayers, in the form of a tax credit of $200/year, sent to the participating school, fund each local project and allows the participating school children, upon completion of the year, to own their own telescope.  Our Astronomy Club, supports a project at Coronado K-8 school, Catalina, led by club member Bob Cratty, aided by Harland Goertz and Dave Thompson.
