| February 1, 2012 topic: "What Your Camera Can (and Can't Do)" |
|
Join us in the Hopi Room in the Social Hall at 6:30 PM on February 1st. Present-day cameras have many features you can use to produce better and/or more interesting and dramatic pictures. But, sometimes subjects move fast, it's dark, or you want a special effect. Learn how and when to use: lens settings to change depth of field, use vibration reduction or a tripod, and when to use special features such as HDR, Background De-focus, Panorama, Movie, multiple images (smile & open-eye modes), red-eye reduction. At the conclusion of the session there will be a demonstration of editing to achieve the above goals. |
| Submitting Images: |
| Every meeting offers attendees the opportunity to either share their images or to have them critiqued by the group. Please submit them at least one day before the meeting as an email attachment sent to DAVID.OF.ORO@GMAIL.COM. The preferred format is JPG with a preferred vertical size larger than 720 pixels. We will be glad to reformat your images if you can not. Print images are also fine as long as they may be handled by attendees or are large enough to be displayed. Please be prepared to tell us how, when, and where the image(s) were captured and processed. Let us know in advance if you desire a critique! |
