One of the most popular Thimblelenas
sewing groups in
Sun City Vistoso is the Casa Amigas sewing group. Members
meet twice a week throughout the year sewing for the special
children of
Casa De Los Ninos and
Catalina Community Services-Clothing Bank. Shorts, pants, tops, dresses, pajamas,
bibs, crib sheets, drawstring bags and cover gowns are among the
most sewn items.
Since the group started in 1999, more
than 10,000 pieces have been made and donated to the charities. |
